The Delosperma are amazingly hardy in North America, provided they are grown in very well-drained soil. This selection forms a low carpet of succulent, evergreen leaves, bearing loads of starry flowers late spring through summer, soft mauve with a purple eye. A great choice for hot, dry areas. Excellent as a groundcover, in the rock garden or wall and especially as a lawn substitute.
